Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Mobu Enterprises Pty Ltd trading as OLÉ Mexican Foods (Australasia), a Darra, Queensland establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of La Banderita White Corn Street Tacos due to undeclared Gluten, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Taco products are subject to this recall:

  • La Banderita White Corn Street Tacos, consisting of 4″ street taco white corn tortillas, sold with best-before dates of 18/06/2019, 02/07/2019, 16/07/2019 or 29/07/2019 and an APN/EAN of 2733100127

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to Gluten, an ingredient not declared on the product label.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Taco products and could be allergic to their Gluten ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
