US FlagUS/Silver Spring: The Kroger Co., a Cincinnati, Ohio, establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Private Selection branded Frozen Triple Berry Medley, Private Selection Frozen Triple Berry Medley and Private Selection Frozen Blackberries manufactured by Townsend Farms due to possible Hepatitis A contamination and consequential risk of viral infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Frozen Fruit Medley Mix products are subject to this recall:

  • Private Selection branded Frozen Triple Berry Medley, sold in 48-ounce packages with a best-by date code of 07-07-20 and a UPC of 0001111079120
  • Private Selection branded Frozen Triple Berry Medley, sold in 16-ounce packages with a best-by date code of 06-19-20 and a UPC of 0001111087808
  • Private Selection branded Frozen Blackberries, sold in 16-ounce packages with a best-by date codes of 06-19-20 and 07-02-20 and a UPC of 0001111087809

According to the FDA, Kroger has recalled certain batch/lots of Private Selection Frozen Triple Berry Medley, Private Selection Frozen Triple Berry Medley and Private Selection Frozen Blackberries due to possible Hepatitis A contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Fruit products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Private Selection branded Fruit products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Frozen Fruit to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
