US FlagUS/Washington: Table 87 Frozen, LLC., a Brooklyn, New York establishment, recalls an estimated 649 pounds of Frozen Prosciutto Pizza products due to suspected production without the benefit of federal inspection and consequential risk of bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Frozen Prosciutto Pizza products were produced from April 1, 2019 through June 4, 2019. and are subject to this recall:

  • Table 87 Coal Oven Pizza Home of The Coal Oven Slice Prosciutto, sold in 9.6-ounce plastic shrink-wrapped packages containing one (1) single personal size pizza with a UPC of 804879558286.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and wholesale presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Frozen Pizza products can be found on the Web site above.

According to the USDA, the products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 51192” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail and wholesale locations, as well as through online sales, US nationwide.

The problem was discovered on June 4, 2019, when the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets contacted US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) inquiring as to whether the plant was operating under a USDA Grant of Inspection.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Frozen Pizza products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
