US NHTSA Recalls: Suzuki Kizashi Vehicles

Among the nine (9) recalls the NHTSA has announced this June comes news of the following:

Suzuki Kizashi VehiclesSuzuki Motor of America, Inc. (“Suzuki”) has recalled an estimated 21,052 model year 2010-2013 Kizashi vehicles. The front passenger seat Occupant Classification System (“OCS”) may misclassify an adult occupant as child and deactivate the front air bag.

According to the NHTSA, the deactivated front air bag will not deploy in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

The remedy for this recall is still under development. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Suzuki customer service at 1-800-934-0934. Suzuki’s designation for this recall is C5.
