Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: HB Commerce Pty Ltd, an Australia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of 2-in-1 Baby Stroller / Prams due to suspected failure to comply with Australia’s mandatory standard Competition and Consumer Act 2010 – Consumer Protection Notice No. 8 of 2007 – Consumer Product Safety Standard for Prams and Strollers”. Specifically, the recalled Baby Stroller/Prams do not have red parking brake actuator and the safety warnings on the harness are not the correct size and consequential risk of infant injury, all serious safety hazards.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Baby Stroller / Prams are subject to this recall:

  • HB Commerce Pty 2-in-1 Baby Stroller/Prams, sold in aluminium red and black trim. These Strollers have reversible seats and can be transformed into a Pram and have a folding canopy over the child. The company says they are suitable for children up to 15 kilograms in weight.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, the recalled Stroller/Pram units do not comply with Australia’s mandatory standard Competition and Consumer Act 2010 – Consumer Protection Notice No. 8 of 2007 – Consumer Product Safety Standard for Prams and Strollers. Specifically, the Stroller/Prams do not have a red parking brake actuator and the safety warnings on the harness are not the correct size as required by the regulation.

If the recalled Stroller/Pram products do not have the required safety features, they may be used incorrectly, leading to the injury of the child.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Stroller/Pram products, please do not use them with your child. Instead, kindly contact HB Commerce by e-mail at webservice@vidaxl.com.au or by chat at https://www.vidaxl.com.au. HB Commerce is also contacting registered owners to arrange for a Red Brake Actuator Cover and a manual to inform them how to install the new cover, which will be sent to them once the part is available
