Canada/Ottawa: France Délices Inc., a Montreal, Quebec establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of France Délices branded Choco-Raspberry Crunchy Confections due to suspected Norovirus contamination and consequential risk of viral infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Chocolate Confections are subject to this recall:

  • France Délices branded Choco-Raspberry Crunchy Confection, sold in 95 gram packages with a product code of 12919 and a UPC of 7 74461 16122 7

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Chocolate Confections can be found on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, France Délices Inc. has recalled certain batch/lots of France Délices brand Choco-Raspberry Crunchy from the Canadian marketplace due to possible Norovirus contamination of the raspberries used in this product. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Chocolate Confections identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Chocolate Confections, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
