Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Target Australia Pty Ltd, a Williams Landing, Melbourne, Victoria establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Baby/Toddler Fleece Letterman Jackets due to suspected component detachment and consequential of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Baby/Toddler Jackets are subject to this recall:

  • Target Baby/Toddler Letterman Jackets, sold in the following sizings and keycode configurations:
    • 0 – 3 months, keycode 61808676
    • 3 – 6 months, keycode 61808683
    • 6 – 12 months, keycode 61808690
    • 12 – 18 months, keycode 61808706
    • 18 – 24 months, keycode 61808713

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, the press-studs on the recalled Baby/Toddler Jackets may detach from the garment. If this defect occurs, and the press-studs detach, they may pose choking and/or ingestion hazards for young children.

In general, if plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Baby/Toddler Jackets, please do not use them, dress your child in them nor let them play with or near the product. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
