The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Antibiotic Powder products are subject to this recall:

  • Curam Duo, sold in powder for oral suspension in brown bottles with batch/lot designations of JC5418 and JC5419, an expiry date of July 2021, a barcode of 9322838004953, a SKKU of 980241 and an Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration code of ARTG: AUST R 147109

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, Curam Duo is a prescription medicine that contains a type of antibiotic called Amoxicillin, as well as a second active ingredient called Potassium Clavulanate. It is a powder for oral suspension (60 mL liquid when mixed) that is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections caused. You should not consume the recalled Antibiotic Powder products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm drug poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any drug, return it to your retailer for refund, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Curam Duo 400/57 Antibiotic Powder, please do not use it. Instead, kindly return the product to the retailer or wholesaler where you purchased it for a full refund.
