US FlagUS/Silver Spring: ADM Milling Co., a Buffalo, New York division of Archer Daniels Midland, recalls certain batch/lots of ALDI Bakers Corner All Purpose Flour products due to suspected risk of Escherichia coli (“E.coli”) contamination and consequential risk of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following All Purpose Flour products are subject to this recall:

  • ADM Bakers Corner All Purpose Flour, sold in five (5) pound bags with best-if-used-by date of December 2, 2019 and December 3, 2019, batch/lot designations of L18A02 and L18A03 and a UPC of 041498130404

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the All Purpose Flour products were sourced from an ADM Milling Co. production facility in Buffalo, New York and were distributed to certain ALDI stores in eleven (11) US states, specifically Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled All Purpose Flour products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled All Purpose Flour products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Flour products to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to handle E.coli poisonings.

Bakers and others are reminded to never consume any raw products made with flour, including cookie dough, pizza dough and batter.
