Bob Evans Beef Stroganoff Pasta Recall [US]

US FlagUS/Washington: BEF Foods, Inc., a Lima, Ohio establishment, recalls an estimated 527 pounds of Bob Evans branded Beef Pasta products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection and outside inspection hours, all serious health and safety hazards.

The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following ready-to-eat Beef Stroganoff Pasta products were produced on May 3, 2019 and are subject to this recall:

  • Bob Evans branded Beef Stroganoff Pasta, sold in 18-ounce sealed plastic trays with a use-by date of 07/02/19 and time-stamps ranging from the hours of 15:00 and 18:37. This time stamp can be found on the tray seal.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Beef Pasta products can be found on the Web site above.

According to the USDA, the Beef Pasta products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. M-46062” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio.

The problem was discovered when US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) Inspection Program Personnel (“IPP”) reviewed the records of production for the recalling firm.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Beef Pasta products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
