US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Seven Seas International USA, LLC, a St. Petersburg, Florida establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Biltmore branded Smoked Sockeye Salmon Fish products sold at Publix Stores due to suspected risk of Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risk of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Salmon Fish products are subject to this recall:

  • Biltmore branded Smoked Sockeye Salmon Fish, sold in four (4) ounce packages at Florida based Publix Grocery Stores with a GTIN of 007-36211-88774, a batch/lot code of 41CM, a best-by date of May 23 2019 and a UPC of 007-36211-88774

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Salmon Fish products can be found on the Web site above.

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated after a routine sampling program by the Florida Department of Agriculture determined that some of the finished Smoked Salmon samples tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Smoked Salmon Fish identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Smoked Salmon Fish products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Fish to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
