US FlagUS/Washington: David’s Tea, a Mount-Royal, Quebec establishment, recalls an estimated 700 Valentine’s Day Stackable Mugs due to suspected mislabeling and consequential risk of fire, burn and property damage, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves David’s Tea “Partner in Crime” and “For You Valentine’s Day” Stackable Mugs.

The recalled Ceramic Mugs are black or pink in color with metallic gold accents. The phrases, “You’re my partner in crime” or “I’d check my voicemail for you” are printed inside the Mug on the bottom. The underside (i., outside) of the Mugs have the following text printed: “Not dishwasher safe. Microwave safe.”

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the Mugs were mislabeled as being microwave safe. If microwaved, however, the metallic print on the Mug can spark, posing a fire hazard.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Stackable Mugs, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
