UK FlagUK/London: ASDA, a Leeds, Yorkshire establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Cranberry and Nut Cereal Bars due to suspected risk of Salmonella contamination and consequential risk of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Cereal Bars are subject to recall:

  • ASDA branded Cranberry and Nut Cereal Bars, sold in 4 by 35 gram bars with a best-before date end of September 2019 and a EAN/UPC of 505717208672

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FSA, these Cereal Bars product listed above might be contaminated with Salmonella. You should neither serve nor consume the Cereal Bars identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Cereal Bars, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Bars to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
