Australia ACCC RecallAustralia/Canberra: Schulz Organic Farms Pty. Ltd. trading as Timboon Dairy/Timboon Cheesery, a Timboon Victoria establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Timboon Dairy Farm Brie Cheese due to suspected Escherichia coli (“E.coli”) contamination and consequential risk of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Brie Cheese products are subject to this recall:

  • Timboon Dairy Farm Brie Cheese, sold wrapped in plastic cheese wrap in various weights with a batch/lot code of 19-03-2019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to E. coli contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the Brie Cheese products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Brie Cheese products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
