Canada/Ottawa: Logo - Canadian Food Inspection AgencyHana Foods, a British Columbia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of H-Bakery branded Soboru Bread due to undeclared Almond Nuts, Egg, Milk, Peanuts and Wheat, all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Soboru Bread products are subject to this recall:

  • H-Bakery branded Soboru, sold in a one (1) count packages; affected batch/lots: all codes where Almond Nuts, Egg, Milk, Peanuts and Wheat are not declared on the label

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, Hana Foods recalls certain batch/lots of H-Bakery branded Soboru Bread products due to undeclared Almond Nuts, Egg, Milk, Peanuts and Wheat

==> For information about Almond Nut, Egg, Milk, Peanut and Wheat Allergy, please consult the “Allergens & Intolerances” tab on this site, located at the top of this page.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Soboru Bread and could be allergic to their Almond Nuts, Egg, Milk, Peanuts and Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to handle Anaphylaxis.
