US FlagUS/Washington: Denver Processing LLC, a Denver, Colorado establishment, recalls an estimated 13,865 pounds of Raw Pork and Beef products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection and outside inspection hours, all serious health and safety hazards.

The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Raw Pork and Beef products are subject to this recall:

  • Varying catch weight plastic wrapped trays containing Pork Sirloin Boneless Chop product with a sell-by date code of 04.18.19, a batch/lot code of 099, a case code of 60047, and a time stamp after 14:30
  • Varying catch weight plastic wrapped trays containing Pork Boneless Loin Top Loin Roast product with a sell-by date code of 04.18.19, a batch/lot code of 099, a case code of 60105, and a time stamp after 14:30
  • Varying catch weight plastic wrapped trays containing Diced Pork Super Value Pack product with a sell-by date code of 04.18.19, a batch/lot code of 099, a case code of 06385, and a time stamp after 14:30
  • Varying catch weight plastic wrapped trays containing Pork Loin Boneless Chop product with a sell-by date code of 04.18.19, a batch/lot code of 099, a case code of 60063 and a time stamp after 14:30
  • Varying catch weight plastic wrapped trays containing Pork Loin Boneless Chops Family Pack product with a sell-by date code of 04.18.19, a batch/lot code of 099, a case code of 19498, and a time stamp after 14:30
  • Varying catch weight plastic wrapped trays containing USDA Choice Beef Chuck Pot Roast Boneless product with a sell-by date code of 0418, a batch/lot code of 099, a case code of 69481, and a time stamp after 14:30
  • Varying catch weight plastic wrapped trays containing “USDA Choice Beef Top Round London Broil with a sell-by date code of 0418, a batch/lot code of 099, a case code of 69479, and a time stamp after 14:30

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 6250” within the USDA mark of inspection on the case label and directly outside of the USDA mark of inspection on the product label. These items were shipped to retail locations in Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.

The problem was discovered on April 10, 2019, when US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) Inspection Program Personnel (“IPP”) were notified that the firm had produced after its approved hours of operation.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Raw Pork and Beef products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
