Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Jura Toys France, an Orgelet, France establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Janod Baby Pop Pacifier Holders due to suspected component detachment and consequential risk of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Baby Pacifier Holder products are subject to this recall:

  • Janod Baby Pop Pacifier Holder, sold with a model number of 04607 or 04608

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, in some instances the beads on the Janod Baby Pop Pacifier Holders can be released during play. If the defect occurs, the detached beads could pose choking and/or ingestion hazards.

In general, if plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Janod Baby Pop Pacifier Holders, please do not use or let your child play with or near them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
