Thomas Hammer Coffee Blueberry Bread Recall [US]

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Blueberry Bread products are subject to this recall:

  • Blueberry Bread, sold at Thomas Hammer Coffee Roasters in 3.7 ounce individually wrapped slices packaged in food grade pastry bags between the dates of 03/25/2019 and 03/26/2019 and were pulled from stores in the morning of 03/27/2019. There are no expiration dates or batch/lot codes. The Blueberry Bread products reportedly have a five (5)-day shelf life.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the recall was initiated after it was discovered during a routine inspection, the product containing Egg was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of Egg. This recall is being made with the knowledge of the Washington State Department of Agriculture and US Food and Drug Administration.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Blueberry Bread products and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to handle Anaphylaxis.
