Canada/Ottawa: Logo - OlymelOlymel SEC / LP, a St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, Quebec establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Cavalier, Olymel Solutions and Subway branded Chicken Strip products due to suspected underprocessing / undercooking and consequential risk of bacterial and/or viral infection, spoilage, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Chicken products are subject to this recall (in alphabetical order):

  • Cavalier branded Grilled Chicken Breast Strips Fully Cooked, Boneless, Skinless, Seasoned, sold in 4 kilogram packages, packed on 2019-01-09
  • Olymel Solutions branded Cooked, Seasoned Chicken Breast Strips, sold in 4 kilogram packages and packed on 2019-01-09 with production codes ranging from 16:30 to 18:40 with an UPC of 0 65137 60207 7
  • Subway branded Fully Cooked Seasoned Chicken Breast Strips, sold in 4 by 2.41 kilogram 2020 JA 09 and packed on 2019-01-09

According to the CFIA, Olymel SEC / LP recalls certain batch/lots of Cavalier, Olymel Solutions and Subway branded Chicken Strip products due to suspected underprocessing.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Chicken Strip products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the wholesaler or distributor where you purchased it for a full refund.
