The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Chicken products have been recalled in order of recall date (more recent recalls are listed first):

  • Compliments branded Chicken Nuggets – Breaded Chicken Cutlettes – Uncooked, sold in 1.5 kilogram packages with a product code of 2019 JL 18 on the outer package and an inner package code of 1998M, a UPC of 0 55742 33690 0 and a CFIA recall/warning date of February 27, 2019
  • Crisp & Delicious branded Chicken Breast Nuggets – Uncooked Seasoned Breaded Chicken Cutlettes, sold in 1.6 kilogram packages with a product code of 2019 JL 19, a UPC of 0 69299 11703 5 and a CFIA recall/warning date of January 25, 2019
  • Janes branded Pub Style Chicken Strips – Uncooked Breaded Chicken Cutlettes, sold in 800 gram packages with a product code of 2019 MA 11 on the outer package and an inner package code of 1318M, a UPC of 0 69299 12489 7 and a CFIA recall/warning date of November 2, 2018

  • No Name branded Chicken Burgers, sold in 1 kilogram packages with a product code of 2019 FE 06 on the outer package and an inner package code of 0378M, a UPC of 0 60383 16636 6 and a CFIA recall/warning date of June 2, 2018

According to the CFIA, since July 2017, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) has posted several food recall warnings linked to Frozen Raw Breaded Chicken products due to Salmonella contamination. These products include Chicken Nuggets, Chicken Strips, Chicken Burgers, Popcorn Chicken and Chicken Fries.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Frozen Chicken products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
