The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Anko Wooden Shape Sorting Toy Houses are subject to this recall:

  • Anko Wooden Shape Sorting House, with a Kmart keycode designation of 42708391

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, this Toy product does not comply with Australia’s mandatory standard ‘Trade Practices Act 1974 Consumer Protection Notice No. 14 of 2003, Toys for children up to and including 36 months of age’. Specifically, the screws in the handle of the box could become loose and fall out if the product is dropped.

In general, if plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Anko Wooden Shape Sorting Toy Houses, please do not use them nor let your child play with or near them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
