US NHTSA Recalls: Winnebago ERA Motorhomes

Among the 40 recalls the NHTSA has announced recently, comes news of the following:

Logo - Winnebago IndustriesWinnebago Industries, Inc. (“Winnebago”) has recalled an estimated 3,351 model year 2012-2018 Winnebago ERA Motorhomes. The overhead cabinet shelf may have been improperly attached, allowing the cabinet face to detach and fall into the cab area.

According to the NHTSA, if the cabinet shelf detaches, contents from the cabinet may hit and/or distract the driver, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

Winnebago will notify registered owners, and dealers will install two (2) support brackets, additional screws, and a maximum capacity warning label, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a recall start date. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885 during normal business hours.
