US NHTSA Recalls: Volvo VNL Trucks

Among the recalls the NHTSA has announced this month, comes news of the following:

Logo - VolvoVolvo Trucks North America (“Volvo”) has recalled an estimated 1,220 model year 2018-2019 Volvo VNL Trucks equipped with an automated manual transmission. An internal component in the clutch assembly may fail, possibly resulting in unintended vehicle movement.

According to the NHTSA, unintended vehicle movement can increase the risk of a crash.

Volvo has notified registered owners and dealers will update the Transmission Control Module software, free of charge. The recall began February 1, 2019. Owners can contact Volvo customer service at 1-800-528-6586. Volvo’s designation for this recall is RVXX1901.
