US FlagUS/Washington: YumNum Global Cuisine Chicken Fried Rice Recall [US]Harvest Food Group, Inc., a Chicago, Illinois establishment, recalls an estimated 47,332 pounds of not ready-to-eat (“NRTE”) YumNum Global Cuisine branded Yakitori Seasoned Chicken Fried Rice products due to undeclared Milk, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

Additional information:
The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Chicken Fried Rice products were produced on November 12, 2018, December 4, 2018 and December 5, 2018 and are subject to recall:

  • YumNum Global Cuisine branded Yakitori Seasoned Chicken Fried Rice products, sold in 9-ounce cardboard packages with batch/lot codes of C041A8K12 BEST-BY 11/12/2019, C091A8L04 BEST-BY 12/04/2019 or C091A8L05 BEST-BY 12/05/2019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the Rice products subject to recall bear establishment number “P-34457” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in Illinois and Michigan.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Yakitori Seasoned Chicken Fried Rice products and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the distributor or wholesaler where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.
