Additional information:

Among the 44 recalls the European Union has announced in its second report of February 2019, the following recall notification was made:

Tower branded Stainless Steel One-Touch Pressure CookersTower branded Stainless Steel One-Touch Pressure Cookers, sold with a model designation of T90103; Type DSS 22-6 and a barcode of 5055195872791

The type of hazards presented in these recalled Pressure Cooker devices is that the working pressure of the safety device and the mechanical resistance of the opening systems may be inadequate for the safety of the operator and those nearby. As a consequence, if the lid of the Pressure Cooker is opened abruptly, the lid’s gasket may be ejected from the lid causing hot liquid to shoot out of the pressure cooker, posing burn and/or scald hazards to both eyes and skin.

Furthermore, it is also possible that the upper part of the Manometric Rod, an integral safety component of the Pressure Cooker, may become partially detached and therefore the safe opening of the Cooker cannot be guaranteed.

Due to these defects and their associated risks, these Tower branded Stainless Steel One-Touch Pressure Cookers do not comply with the requirements of Europe’s Pressure Equipment Directive and the relevant European standard EN 12778. Consequently, they have been ordered recalled from end-user customers.

==> Please do not use any of the recalled Tower branded Stainless Steel One-Touch Pressure Cookers in your home. Instead, please return the Pressure Cooker devices to the store or online outlet from which you purchased them for a full refund.
