DeWalt Power Drill Recall [US & Canada]

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain DeWalt DWD110 and DWD112 3/8-inch Variable Speed Reversing Power Drills.

The recalled Power Drills are yellow with black accents and have a power cable connected at one end. Only Drills with date codes 2017-37-FY through 2018-22-FY are affected. If the Drill is marked with an “X” after the date code it has already been inspected and is not affected. The model number is located on a label on the right side of the Power Drills, as follows:

  • DeWalt model DWD110 Variable Speed Reversing Drills, sold with a UPC of 85911037518
  • DeWalt model DWD112 Variable Speed Reversing Drills, sold with a UPC of 885911057319

The date code is etched into the body of the Power Drill directly below the label. Owners of Power Drills that do not have a date code, or who cannot locate the date code should contact the company directly for assistance.

According to the CPSC, the recalled Power Drill’s wiring can contact internal moving parts, posing an electrical shock hazard.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Power Drill products, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact DeWalt to schedule a free inspection and repair.
