The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Foods are subject to recall:

  • Barncliffe Brie Cheese, sold in both 200 gram and one (1) kilogram packages with batch/lots of 098, 099 and 002 and 4 March 2019, 6 March 2019 and 25 March 2019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Yorkshire Fine Cheese has recalled certain batch/lots of Barncliffe Brie Cheese products due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Barncliffe Brie Cheese products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Cheese to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
