Canada/Ottawa: Logo - Up Cannabis Inc.Up Cannabis Inc., an Oakville, Ontario establishment, recalls an estimated 1,428 units of Up Cannabis Eldo Dried Cannabis due to suspected mould (mold) contamination and consequential risk of respiratory irritation and/or infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports the following Dried Cannabis products are subject to this recall:

  • Eldo Dried Cannabis, sold in seven (7) gram packages with a batch/lot designation of 1204201, a packaging date of November 28, 2018 and a UPC of 828939111631

According to Health Canada, the recalled Dried Cannabis product may contain unidentified strains of Mould. In certain individuals, exposure to Mould can result in allergic symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, wheezing, runny nose or nasal congestion, and watery eyes or itchy eyes. The use of, or exposure to a mouldy product may cause temporary adverse health consequences, but the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Dried Cannabis products, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
