According to the ACCC, manufacturing inconsistencies could cause the components of the Wine Chiller Sticks to rupture during or after freezing. If the product ruptures, fragments could propel outwards with the potential to injure customers or damage property.

In general, if plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.
