The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Pork products are subject to this recall:

  • Vic’s Premium Quality Meat branded Bone-In-Half Leg of Ham, sold in 4.5 kilogram packages with a best-before date of 29/01/2019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Pork products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
