IKEA GLIVARP Dining Table Recall [Australia]


Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: IIKEA GLIVARP Dining Table Recall [Australia]KEA Pty Ltd., a Marsden Park, New South Wales establishment, recalls all GLIVARP Extendable Dining Tables due to suspected component detachment and consequential risk of component falls, laceration and general injury, all serious health and safety hazards.

The recalled Dining Tables have four (4) steel legs and a glass table top with an extension that can be pulled out to the side and measures approximately 125 cm in length (extended length 188 cm) with a width 85 cm  and a height of 74 cm. The glass Table Top Extension measures approximately 53 cm long. An IKEA part number of “10334705” can be found printed on a sticker on the underside of the Table’s frame while the model, “GLIVARP” and IKEA logo are also printed on the sticker.

According to the ACCC, the Table’s Glass Extension Leaf can detach and fall unexpectedly, posing laceration and general injury hazards to those nearby. IKEA has received multiple customer reports of the extension piece in the GLIVARP extendable dining table detaching from the rails and falling.

IKEA USA has received three (3) reports of the Table’s Glass Extension Leaf detaching and falling unexpectedly, one (1) of which included a minor injury where no medical attention was needed. As of the date of the original recall notification, there had been no injuries reported in Canada by IKEA Canada.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled IKEA GLIVARP Extendable Dining Tables, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund or replacement Table.
