The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Baklava baked goods are subject to this recall:

  • Almond Baklava Triangles, sold in 250-gram clear plastic clamshell packages with a best-before date of 25 April 2019
  • Four Finger Baklava, sold in 200-gram clear plastic clamshell packages; affected batch/lots: all current best-before dates

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to the presence of an undeclared Pistachio Nuts.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Baklava baked goods and could be allergic to their Pistachio Nut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
