Additional information:

Among the 65 recalls the NHTSA has announced this November, comes news of the following:

Silverstone Associates LLC (“Silverstone”) has recalled an estimated 5,100 model year Ride Eazy DOT Sleek Helmets, sizes M and XL. The recalled Helmets may not adequately protect the wearer in the event of a head impact during a motorcycle crash, or the Helmet may detach from the wearer. As such, these safety accessories fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (“FMVSS”) number 218, “Motorcycle Helmets.”

According to the NHTSA, a Helmet that does not adequately protect the wearer from an impact or becomes detached can increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Silverstone will notify registered owners, and provide replacement Helmets, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 7, 2018. Owners may contact Silverstone customer service at 1-410-696-7180.
