The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Breakfast Cereal products are subject to this recall:

  • Cap’n Crunch’s Peanut Butter Crunch Cereal, sold in 17.1 ounce boxes with best-before date codes of JUL 30 19 or JUL 31 19 with a UPC 0 30000 6211 1 and known to have been sold from the following five (5) Target stores:
    • Super Target, located at 4001 N 132nd Street in Omaha, Nebraska, 68164
    • P-Fresh, located at 4250 Rusty Road in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63128
    • Super Target, located at 10800 E 21st Street N in Wichita, Kansas, 67206
    • Super Target, located at 8201 S 40th Street in Lincoln, Nebraska, 68516
    • P-Fresh, located at 040 NE Coronado in Blue Springs, MO 64014

According to the FDA, The Quaker Oats Company has recalled certain boxes of Cap’n Crunch’s Peanut Butter Crunch cereal due to the suspected presence of Salmonella. The recalled Cereal products are known to have been sold only from the five (5) Target stores listed above and may be limited to 21 boxes of one (1) variety with two (2) best-before dates.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Breakfast Cereal products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Cereal products to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
