US FlagUS/Washington: All Peoples Food branded Smoked Chicken Recall [US]All People’s Food, a New Castle, Delaware establishment, recalls an estimated 3,904 pounds of All Peoples Food branded Smoked Whole Chicken products due to undeclared Monosodium Glutamate (“MSG”), a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Smoked Whole Chicken products were produced from dates from September 4, 2018 to September 25, 2018 and are subject to this recall:

  • All Peoples Food branded Smoked Whole Chicken, sold in 32-pound bulk boxes in a plastic lining containing approximately 155 Chicken pieces

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the products subject to recall bear establishment number “P-46803” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The problem was discovered on October 23, 2018 by state inspection personnel during routine inspection duties.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Smoked Whole Chicken products and could be allergic to their Monosodium Glutamate (“MSG”) ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.
