Canada/Ottawa: Kirkland and Maple Leaf Chicken Recall [Canada]Exceldor Coopérative, a Lévis, Québec establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Kirkland branded and Maple Leaf branded Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts due to suspected off-odour and consequential risk of spoilage, Gram-positive and/or Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Chicken products are subject to this recall:

  • Maple Leaf branded Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts Fillets Removed, sold in 0.76 to 0.95 kilogram packages with a UPC of 605388 765017 and the following date codes:

    • 2018OC06
    • 2018OC07

According to the CFIA, Exceldor Coopérative has recalled certain batch/lots of Kirkland branded and Maple Leaf branded Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts due to suspected off-odour and consequential risk of spoilage. You should neither serve nor consume the Chicken products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food product, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Chicken products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
