Additional information:

Among the 37 recalls the European Union has announced in its third report of October 2018, the following recall notification was made:

Logo - First AustriaFirst Austria branded Electric Frying Pans sold with a model designation of FA-5109 (FH-40A) and a barcode/EAN of 9003898051094

The type of hazards presented in these recalled Frying Pans include fire, burn and electric shock hazards. Specifically, the recalled Frying Pans do not bear required warning symbols for hot surfaces which, in turn, could lead to a risk of burns. In addition, the thermal protection built into the product is not sufficient and poses a risk of fire. Further, the power cable is not securely fixed as is required and this defect could produce an electric shock during use.

These Electric Frying Pans, consequently, do not comply with the requirements of Europe’s Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335 in that they pose serious health and/or safety hazards to those who use them. Consequently, they have been ordered withdrawn from the European marketplace.

==> Please do not use any of the recalled First Austria branded Electric Frying Pans nor let others in your family use them. Instead, please return the Frying Pans to the store or online outlet from which you purchased them for a full refund.
