US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Sweet Me Creamery Brookie Dough Ice Cream Recall [US]Kemps, a St. Paul, Minnesota establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Sweet Me Creamery Brookie Dough Ice Cream due to undeclared Peanuts, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Ice Cream products are subject to this recall:

  • Sweet Me Creamery branded Brookie Dough Ice Cream, sold in pint-sized cardboard containers with best-by dates of 12/4/2019, 12/5/2019, 12/13/2019, 2/15/2020 and 2/16/2020.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the recalled Ice Cream products were initially distributed by Kemps to retailers and retailer distribution centers in Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. The Ice Cream may have been further distributed by retail customers to additional states. Consumers may have purchased this product through a wholesaler, retail grocery store, or convenience store.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Ice Cream products and could be allergic to their Peanut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
