US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Working Cow Homemade Ice Cream Recall [US]Working Cow Homemade, Inc., a St. Petersburg, Florida establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of No Sugar Added Vanilla Ice Cream as well as No Sugar Added Chocolate Ice Cream due to suspected risk of Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risk of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Ice Cream products are subject to this recall:

  • Working Cow Homemade branded No Sugar Added Chocolate Ice Cream sold in three-gallon yellow tubs and manufactured in May 2018
  • Working Cow Homemade branded No Sugar Added Vanilla Ice Cream, sold in three-gallon yellow tubs and manufactured in May 2018

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Working Cow Homemade has recalled certain batch/lots of No Sugar Added Vanilla Ice Cream and No Sugar Added Chocolate Ice Cream due to suspected risk of Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Ice Cream, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Ice Cream to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
