US FlagUS/Washington: Walmart Ozark Trail branded Camp Axe Recall [US]Walmart Inc., a Bentonville, Arkansas establishment, recalls an estimated 246,000 Ozark Trail Camp Axes due to suspected component detachment and consequential risk of laceration, eye injury and severe injury damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Ozark Trail branded Camp Axes.

  • The recalled Axes have a tubular steel shaft and measure approximately 14 inches long from handle to Axe Head and weigh approximately 1.25 pounds. Each Axe has a black, non-slip rubber grip and claw feature. The brand, “Ozark Trail” and model number 60111140 are both printed on the product packaging.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the Axe Head can detach from the Handle, posing an injury hazard. Walmart has received two (2) reports of Axe Head detaching from the handle, resulting in minor cuts and abrasions.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Ozark Trail branded Camp Axes, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
