Canada/Ottawa: Loblaw $10 Chicken Fries Recall [Canada]Loblaw Companies Limited, a Brampton, Ontario establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of $10 Chicken Fries due to suspected Salmonella contamination and consequential risk of gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Chicken products are subject to this recall:

  • Loblaw $10 Chicken Fries, uncooked breaded seasoned chicken, sold in 1.81 kilogram plastic pouches with a white and yellow colour scheme, a clear product-view window, a batch/lot designation of 2019 JN 22 and a UPC of 0 60249 01411 4

Please note, a different batch/lot of this food product was recalled earlier this year, as follows:

  • Loblaw $10 Chicken Fries, uncooked breaded seasoned chicken, sold in 1.81 kilogram plastic pouches with a white and yellow colour scheme, a clear product-view window, a batch/lot designation of 2019 MR 23 and a UPC of 0 60249 01411 4

According to the CFIA, Loblaw Companies Limited has recalled certain batch/lots of $10 Chicken Fries from the Canadian marketplace due to possible Salmonella contamination.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled $10 Chicken Fries please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
