Additional information:

Among the 58 recalls the European Union has announced in its fourth (and final) report of September 2018, the following recall notification was made:

Fil'Up branded Mesh Baby SlingsFil’Up branded Mesh Baby Slings sold in one-size fits all up to 15 kilograms, with a manufacturer number model designation of 760 and a batch/lot designation of PF: PF170814. No barcode/EAN was listed with this product.

The type of hazards presented in these recalled Baby Sling products include possible breakage of the Fastening Ring, a component vital in securing the baby inside the Sling, as well as having a supporting mesh that is deemed to be too large.

Specifically, if the Sling’s Fastening Ring breaks, the baby could slide out of the carrier and onto a hard surface below posing head, neck and other injuries from the fall. In addition, the Sling’s mesh is reportedly too large, allowing fingers and toes to become entrapped or pinched between the carrier webbing and pose circulatory and/or nerve injuries.

The recalled Fil’Up branded Mesh Baby Slings, therefore, do not comply with the requirements of Europe’s applicable health and safety directives in that they pose serious health and/or safety hazards to those who use them.

==> Please do not use any of the recalled Fil’Up branded Mesh Baby Slings nor let your child play with or near this assistive product. Instead, please return the Fil’Up branded Mesh Baby Slings to the store or online outlet from which you purchased them for a full refund.
