The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Frozen Yogurt products are subject to this recall:

  • Harris Teeter Low Fat Frozen Yogurt, Cookies & Cream flavor, sold in 1.5 quart laminated cartons with all sell-by dates up to and including 07/30/19 and with a UPC 0 72036 98182 0.

The recalled Yogurt was distributed to Harris Teeter stores located in DC, DE, FL, GA, MD, NC, SC and VA from 6/6/2018 to 09/23/2018. The company will use loyalty card data to notify shoppers of the recall via voicemail and e-mail.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Harris Teeter was notified of the problem from a consumer comment of finding Peanut Butter Cups in the product. Subsequent investigation found that the problem was caused by incorrect carton packaging.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Frozen Yogurt product and could be allergic to their Peanut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
