The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Whey Powder Supplements are subject to this recall:

  • MyoWhey branded Chocolate Cookie Crunch flavored Whey Powder Supplements, sold in five (5) pound (2.26 kilogram) white plastic bottles with a batch/lot designation of PL: 0100518 and an expiry date of 04/2020.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Purus Labs has recalled certain batch/lots of MyoWhey branded Chocolate Cookie Crunch Whey Powder Supplement products due to undeclared Milk and Soy. MyoWhey was distributed through online mail orders to AR, FL, MI, OK, TX and VA. The MyoWhey Supplement was sold through retail stores in AR, CA, CO, MO and OK. The Supplement was also available internationally in Chile and UAE.

The recall was initiated after a routine inspection by the Texas Department of State Health Services determined that the Whey Powder Supplement products had been distributed without proper allergen labeling for Milk and Soy.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Whey Powder Supplements and could be allergic to their Milk and/or Soy ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
