US FlagUS/Washington: Jimco Folding Bistro Chair Recall [US]Jimco Lamp & Manufacturing Company, a Bono, Arkansas establishment, recalls an estimated 16,000 Jimco Folding Bistro Chairs due to suspected component failure, structural collapse and consequential risk of falls, injury and property damage, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Jimco Outdoor Folding Bistro Chairs, sold in in “graywash” and teak finishes.

  • The recalled Bistro Chairs are wooden foldable chairs and were sold individually at TJ Maxx and Marshalls, and as part of a set with two (2) chairs and a table at HomeGoods and Sierra Trading Post stores.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the seat on the Folding Bistro Chairs can break, posing a fall and injury hazard to users. Jimco has received five (5) reports of the Folding Bistro Chairs breaking, including one (1) report involving a bruised wrist and a cut to the leg.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Folding Bistro Chairs, please do not use them. Instead, please contact Jimco for instructions on how to return the chairs for a full refund of the purchase price.
