Randsland Super Salad Kit Recall Expands [Canada]

Canada/Ottawa: Randsland branded Super Salad Kit Recall [Canada]Randsland Farms Inc., a Delhaven, Nova Scotia establishment, expands its existing recall for certain batch/lots of Randsland branded Super Salad Kits to include an additional batch/lot of the same Salad product. The original recall was due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risk of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Salad products are subject to this recall:

  • Randsland branded Super Salad Kits, sold in 454 gram (one pound) clear plastic bags with a batch/lot code of 090318 and a UPC of 0 57225 00005 6

Previously, the company recalled the following Super Salad Kit products

  • Randsland branded Super Salad Kits, sold in 454 gram (one pound) clear plastic bags with a batch/lot code of 090718 and a UPC of 0 57225 00005 6

In addition, previous notifications concerning Randsland Farms have recalled other Salad products, specifically its Prepared Coleslaw and Broccoli Slaw products, due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, Randsland Farms Inc. has recalled the above batch/lots of Randsland branded Super Salad Kit products from the Canadian marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Coleslaw and Broccoli Slaw products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
