US FlagUS/Washington: Bahar LLC., a Clifton, New Jersey establishment, recalls 2,344 pounds of Bahar Manti Gourmet Mediterranean branded Beef Dumpling products due to suspected production without the benefit of federal inspection and consequential risk of bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Bahar Manti Gourmet Mediterranean branded Beef Dumpling products were produced from May 2, 2018 to August 29, 2018, are subject to this recall:

  • Bahar Manti Gourmet Mediterranean branded Beef Dumplings and sold in various weights in sealed plastic packages marked with an expiration dates ranging from 05/20/19 through 08/29/19. These items were shipped to distributor and retail locations in New Jersey.
  • Bahar Manti Gourmet Mediterranean branded Beef Dumplings and sold in square plastic sealed packages marked with an establishment designation of “EST. 51290” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were also shipped to distributor and retail locations in New Jersey.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the problem was discovered by US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) during a review at the establishment.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Beef Dumpling products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
