UK FlagUK/London: Tesco, a Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Tesco branded Organic Almonds, due to suspected risk of Salmonella contamination and consequential risk of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Almond Nuts are subject to recall:

  • Tesco branded Organic Almonds, sold in 200 gram packages with a batch/lot of number of L8004010 and a best-before date of February 2019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FSA, Tesco has recalled one (1) batch/lot of its Organic Almonds 200 gram because Salmonella has been found in the product.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Organic Almonds, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Almonds to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
