The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Musical Toys are subject to this recall:

  • Owl Sound Whistle Toys, a simple two-tone hoot-sounding whistle that can sound like an owl or a cuckoo. It was one (1) of five (5) instruments supplied in the Early Years Starter Basket Sets and has not been supplied separately in Australia.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Owl Sound Whistles can be found on the Web site above.

In general, if plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.
