The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Turkey and Swiss Submarine Sandwiches are subject to this recall:

  • Fresh Grab branded Turkey & Swiss Submarine Sandwiches, sold in 18/6 ounce packages, a Lipari product code of 251694, a sell-by date of 08/06/2018, a batch/lot of 17201807 and a UPC of 612510001042
  • Premo branded Turkey & Swiss Submarine Sandwiches, sold in 4/6 ounce packages, a Lipari product code of 915537, a sell-by date of 08/06/2018, a batch/lot of 17201807 and a UPC of 612510001042

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Lipari Foods, LLC has recalled certain batch/lots of Premo and Fresh Grab branded Turkey and Swiss Submarine Sandwiches produced and packaged by sister company JLM due to potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes.

The products were produced on July 17, 2018 and distributed to food service and retail stores throughout Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Premo or Fresh Grab branded Turkey and Swiss Submarine Sandwiches, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Subs to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
